Custom Size Extra Thick Mount

Our extra thick mounts are cut from 3.5mm thick (3500 micron) whitecore acid free mount card, as opposed to standard mounts, which are only 1.4mm or in some cases thinner.

Please choose your size category (based on the outside measurements of the mount), and whether you would like to order just the mount, or a mount, backing mount and cello wrap (B&C) from the drop down menu. Please note: the backing mount will be of standard thickness 1400 mount card. The cello wrap will come as a bag closest to the mount size, with any excess cello easily taped on the back for presentation.

MEASURING YOUR MOUNT

1 – Outside size – The outside size is the overall outside dimensions of the mount. If the mount is to fit a frame, this will be the size of the glass.

2 – Aperture size – There must be an overlap of approx 3mm on each size with the image and the aperture, with the image being slightly larger than the aperture so it stays in it’s correct position behind the mount. For example, a 20cm x 20cm paper size would require a aperture of 19.4cm x 19.4cm. Please calculate the exact aperture size you will need.

3 – Border size – we will make the borders of the mount equal unless otherwise requested.
