Jonathan Walker (b 1966) lives in the heart of the Devon countryside with his wife and three children. With  encouragement from his father, who was also an artist, Jonathan has drawn and painted from earlychildhood; fascinated and enthralled by the great illustrators of the twentieth century, a tradition that still inspires him today.

A brilliant draughtsman and colourist with the quick wit of the true observer, Jonathan’s work is characterised by a profound understanding of people and the human psyche. In the ancient and inherent practice of anthropomorphising animals, he illuminates the characters of the West Country detailing the behaviour, which makes his creatures at once
human and familiar.
